Worm gear slewing drive consists of worm,worm gear,slewing bearing,house and power system as shown below.
The core part of slewing drive is slewing bearing with good precision.The bearing is made of 50Mn or 52CrMo with high hardness and load capacity.The bearing can hold axial load,radial load and tilting moment.There are mounting holes,filler hole and seals in the bearing ring.The structure is compact and it is easy to mount because of worm gear in the outer ring.
Worm and worm gear are perpendicular to each other which ensures smooth and noiseless power transmission.In order to increase the hardness and life of envelope hourglass worm ,worm and worm gear are made of 42CrMo and treated by glow plasma nitriding which provides superior wear resistance and strength compared to conventional gas nitrided materials, and it also gets higher torque transmission capacity. The housing utilize premium cast steel to obtain high strength and durability.
