Material for stainless steel bearing
The material of rings and rolling elements of stainless steel is usally AISI SUS 440C(9Cr18Mo or 9Cr18 in China) which is quenched and tempered in vacuum.
Cage and seal ring are usally made of AISI 304 stailless steel(0Cr18Ni9).Compared to high-carbon chromium martensitic stainless steels (such as 440C, 420, etc.), austenitic stainless steels exhibit superior corrosion resistance and non-magnetic properties.
